In 1983 he graduated at Faculty of Education of Palacky University in Olomouc, subject Teaching for High Schools (Music – Czech).

1985 – PaedDr. (Palacky University Olomouc)

1987 – he successfully finished studying of Theory of Music at Faculty of Music, University of Music and Dramatic Arts in Prague

2000 – Ph.D. (Charles University, Prague)

2005 – doc. (University of Matej Belo, Banska Bystrica)

He is engaged in chorus leading already from the times of his studies. He privately supplemented his qualification in this branch by the conductors Lubomír Matl and Libor Mathauser.

He worked as a conductor of children’s, youth’s and mixed choruses. At present he conducts Female Chamber Choir DUHA (Rainbow) of Ostrava (since 1989), ATENEO  of Palacky University Olomouc (since 2001) and he externally cooperates with Children´s Choir Ostrava (since 1990). With some of above mentioned ensembles he made records for the Czech Radio, the Czech TV a he released records on sound mediums. He performs publicly with the choir on the concerts in the Czech Republic and abroad.
