Biography
Expertise- history of music
In 1972, Mgr. Marie Horáková, Ph.D. (born in 1950) graduated from the Conservatory in Ostrava where she studied the fiddle playing. In 1982 she finished her off-campus studies of the musicology at the Faculty of Philosophy of the UJEP (today’s Masaryk University) in Brno. From 1972 to 1993 she taught the fiddle playing at the schools of music in Hranice na Moravě and Olomouc. From 1993 she works in the Music Department of the Faculty of Pedagogy of Palacký University in Olomouc. In 2000, she defended her dissertation and finished her doctorate studies at the Faculty of Pedagogy of the University of Ostrava. She focuses professionally mainly on the history of the artificial and nonartificial music and methodology of the fiddle playing.
